Part 1
Making a list
- Do you like making a list when you go shopping?
- run low on 用完;很少了
我的答案
虽然我很喜欢做计划,但我通常每周买差不多的东西,或者缺什么买什么,所以基本不需要列list。除非搬家需要置办新物品,列个list。
Although I enjoy planning in general, I usually don’t make a shopping list because I tend to buy the same items every week or just pick up whatever I’m running low on. I only make a list when I need to buy a lot of new things, such as when I move into a new place. In such cases, a list helps me stay organised and ensures I don’t forget anything important.
- Do you like making a list when you are working (studying)?
我的答案
Yes, I quite like making lists for work or study because it helps me stay organised and focused. I often create to-do lists to prioritise tasks and track my progress, which makes my workflow more efficient. In addition, checking items off a list gives me a sense of accomplishment and motivation to keep going.
- Why do some people hate making lists?
- spontaneous adj. /spɑːnˈteɪniəs/
- not planned but done because you suddenly want to do it
- often doing things without planning to, because you suddenly want to do them 常心血来潮的
- Jo's a cheerful, spontaneous person, always ready for some fun. 乔是一个开朗、率性的人,总是乐于助人。
我的答案
Some people dislike making lists because they prefer a more spontaneous and flexible approach to life, whereas others enjoy planning and structure. For those who like to take things as they come, list-making can feel restrictive or unnecessary. On the other hand, people who enjoy organising their tasks often find lists extremely helpful for staying focused and efficient.
