(Long Turn)
- 在陈述中用 “First / Next / Finally” 或 “On one hand / On the other hand” 等连接词来梳理思路
(That’s an interesting question... / Let me think for a moment...)。
或 “To sum up…”
(Discussion)

I'd like to talk about my best friend Lisa, who has been incredibly important in my life. We first met during our freshman year at university when we were randomly assigned as roommates in the dormitory.
- freshman year
- freshman noun /ˈfreʃmən/ (plural freshmen /ˈfreʃmən/ /ˈfreʃmən/) (North American English) a first-year student at a university or college
- during my freshman year在我大学一年级期间
- dormitory noun /ˈdɔːrmətɔːri/
- (also informal dorm) a room for several people to sleep in, especially in a school or other institution
- (also dorm, residence hall) (all North American English) (British English hall of residence, hall) a building for university or college students to live in (大学)学生宿舍

I remember our first meeting quite clearly - I was nervous about living with a stranger, but Lisa immediately made me feel comfortable with her warm smile and easygoing personality. We discovered we had similar interests in movies and food, which helped us bond quickly. We've now known each other for about six years, and our friendship has only grown stronger over time.
Lisa is important to me for several reasons. First, she's incredibly supportive and always listens without judgment when I need to talk through problems or share good news. During stressful exam periods or when I was dealing with family issues, she was always there offering practical help or just a shoulder to cry on. She's also taught me to be more confident and outgoing - before meeting her, I was quite shy, but she encouraged me to try new things and step out of my comfort zone.
What I value most about our friendship is the complete trust and honesty we share. We can be ourselves around each other without any pretense, and that kind of genuine connection is rare to find.
