Friends

How important are friends to you?

朋友对我还说很重要，尤其是知心朋友。中国有句古话：知音难求，意思是懂你的人很稀有。对我来说，彼此坦诚，有话可聊的朋友对我来说很重要。

Friends mean a lot to me, especially those who truly understand me and support me. There’s an old Chinese saying that “a soulmate is hard to find,” and I couldn’t agree more. I really value friends with whom I can be open and have genuine, meaningful conversations.

Where do you often meet?

和我认识17年的朋友我们不在同一座城市所以不怎么见面。通常保持线上联系。

Well, my best friend and I actually live in different cities, so we don’t get to meet that often. Most of the time, we keep in touch online by chatting or sending each other voice messages, which still makes me feel close to her.

What do you usually do with your friends?

我们见面会聊天。一起约饭，然后边吃边聊。我很享受和朋友聊天的时光，看电影、逛街这些只是和朋友在一起聊天 catch up的方式而已。

When we hang out, we usually grab a meal and chat for hours. I really enjoy those moments because talking with friends helps me unwind and recharge. Watching movies or going shopping is nice too, but for me, the real fun lies in the conversation itself.

Do you have many friends?

我的朋友不多，我只和自己喜欢的人做朋友（谁不是呢）

我之前的想法是不希望有太多泛泛之交。但现在因为工作，到了一个新环境，所以我快速结识了一些和我同龄的新朋友。

Not really, I don’t have a big circle of friends, but I prefer it that way. I’d rather have a few close ones I genuinely like than a bunch of superficial connections. Still, since I started working, I’ve met some new friends around my age, which has been refreshing.
