Have you ever planted trees?

我没有种过书，只种过豆芽。不过我很想试着种一棵树。

Not really, I haven’t planted a real tree before, but I once tried growing bean sprouts as a kid. It was quite fun to see them sprout in just a few days, and I’ve always wanted to try planting a tree one day to watch it grow over the years.

Where did you plant trees?

我没有没有种过树。但我姥姥家种了枣树，枣是我的家乡特产。

I haven’t personally planted any, but my grandma’s yard has a few jujube trees, which are quite common in my hometown.

Yes, I do. I find plants soothing to look at, and the colour green really helps me relax my eyes after spending hours in front of a screen. They just make the environment feel more alive and refreshing.

Do you keep plants at home?

我家里确实有各种树，主要是我爸爸种的，他喜欢种一些有寓意的书，比如发财树代表发财。

Yes, we do. My dad is really into gardening, so we have quite a few plants at home. He likes to grow trees with symbolic meanings, like a money tree for good fortune and a kumquat tree that represents prosperity.

Do you know anything about growing a plant?

Just a little. I know that plants need the right balance of sunlight, water, and temperature to grow well. Even though I’m not an expert, I do understand that patience and consistent care matter just as much as the natural conditions.
